Jeff is in the Young Men's program at church and a couple of weeks ago he was in charge of the activity for the boys and the girls combined and so he decided to do it on the Armour of God!! He put a lot of work into it and it turned out really good, him and his boys mostly him made masks, Shields, breastplates. shin guards, and girdles, out of cardboard and then all the kids had to learn about the armour and then decorate it and it turned out really good!! In the end Jeff asked different questions and who ever got the most right won the prize!! a box filled with candy!! I am really proud of him he did a great job.

Durring Christmas we got a box that was big enough to fit the kids in!! In the begining they were just climbing in then I told Jeff he should make a door for them, so he did and now it is a dog house for Makenzi and Jaxson.. Well at least for a while until it was to cold outside for the bunny and now it is the bunnys house in the garage. We really know how to use a box around here

Usually it doesn't snow in Salem but this year it did and i loved it!! We got about 2 feet.. It was nice because the kids could go out and play and not get dirty the only problem was we didnt have any snow gear.. So we put on what we had. It is all melted now but it sure was fun while it lasted!!

Ok I know December is almost over but we did do a lot this month although none of you would know because of my not so good blogging skills.. so there will be about 5 different posts and I dont know if they will all show on one page but i will try!! Last year and this year we went to a little town called Silverton wich i love and would like to live there some day but any ways on the outskirts of this town there are lots of christmas tree farms and last year and this year we went with some of the people that jeff works with. It is always a good time and this year we decieded to pick the biggest tree we could find.. not so much the tallest but the fattest and it is awsome you cant really tell from pictures and i dont even know if i put one up of the whole thing but let me tell you it is big... please refrain from the thats what she said comments after.!!

In certain areas of Salem there are a lot of geese, and these geese at any time may decide that they want to cross the road and when they do there is usually many who follow. When this happens traffic stops completely and there is no telling how long they are going to take to get from one side of the road to another!! good times There is one area though by Jeff's work where they kinda congregate and every time we pass it there are people feeding them and every time we pass Kenzie says i want to feed the geese so one day we stopped and fed them it was a little scary because the more you give them the closer they get to you and some of them have long spiddles of drool hanging down and they get quite aggressive..but the kids had fun and that is all that matters!!

Horses

One night after dinner we took the kids on a walk to see some horses at the bottom of the hill.. Jeff and I often walk there because Makenzieloves to look at the horses.. But the day we took the kids the Kathy.. the lady who owned them was out and we asked if we could feed them and she let all the kids take a turn and feed them!! Then she said that if we came back on Saturday she would let everyone have a ride!! So that is just what we did!! The kids loved it and the horses were so good!! They are Police horses so they are very well trained A couple of friends came with us and every one got to help!! The kids loved riding even Jeff got up and rode bare back!! Thanks to Kathy for such a fun day!!

A couple of weeks ago it was my parents 25th anniversary!! So they decided that they were gonna go back to California and do all the things they did on there honey moon and things they did while they lived in California!! So me being the best daughter ever said that we would watch the kids... so for a week we had eight children and i have learned that I will never be having eight children ever!! It is not that i was watching bad kids they are pretty good for kids but it is just a lot of work, a lot of food and a lot of fingerprints!! Here are a couple of pictures before my parents left... Our 4th was pretty low key. In the morning we went to a ward breakfast. After that we just ran some errands and put things away from our trip. Then we went to some friends the Morrison's and had burgers and did fireworks!! We have realized with kids you cant expect to do big things all the time and that somtimes just doing little things is where you are going to have the most fun anyways!!

Hawaii the story!!

Well we are back from our two week trip to Hawaii!! It is definently good to be home but we did have a very good time while we where there!! I mean come on we were in Hawaii! I don't really know where to start and I have started writing and erased my writing now like 3 times... I guess I can start from the beginning, so here I go… On the 19 of June Jeff, the kids, and I left the house to go to the airport to go to Hawaii. It was a bit of a challenge considering I am not the lightest packer. This is what we had: we had a suite case for me, one for the kids, and one for Jeff... Jeff shared his with the beach towels and beach toys... then we had 2 car seats and a porta-crib.. Oh yeah and a bag for toiletries. Then I had a carry on bag full of treats and a purse, Kenzie had a backpack and so did Jeff. So if you add that up it adds up to a lot of bags and not a lot of hands considering we still have to carry Jaxson because you never know where he is going to go when you put him down. But with a lot of tired arms we made it on our plane. Next there was the plane ride itself. We brought on one car seat and buckled Jax in it. We knew he would be a little more crazy then Kenzie and he would do better if something was holding him down. So Jax was by the window, Jeff in the middle and me and Kenzie on the aisle seat. Our plane ride was about five and a half hours and then we had a lay over on one of the islands. I can’t really remember which one, and even if I did I don't think I could spell it. So anyways we had a layover for about an hour and then a short ride to Maui. The kids did very well thanks to a DVD player we bought before hand and the m & m's, and beef jerky!! I love beef jerky!! And just so you know the Costco in Hawaii had organic beef jerky and for those of you who know me know I love organic, so you could imagine how happy I was. OK so any ways we get to Maui and waited for Jeff's parents to get in which took about an hour and a half. When they got there we waited for Jeff and his dad to get the rental cars. We stayed our first night in a place where I didn't even sleep under the covers - not because I didn't want to wreck the bed, but because I didn't want to get a disease and die!! But it was a place to stay and it was only for 1 night. The rest of the next week we would get to stay at the Shambaugh’s time share!! It was much, much better except for the tiny little bugs crawling on the bed and all over Shanna and Ryan's things. Thanks to the maids and the bug people it was mostly taken care of!! We had lots of fun at the beach where we would relax and play boom ball and the kids would ask Grandpa or Dad to dig them a hole so they could sit in it!! They also would have us fill up there little sand castle buckets with water and they would put little toys that Grandma bought them in it!! Kenzie loved playing tag with the waves. She loved the water mostly. One day we went snorkeling and Kenzie got to go. We found these special boogie boards for kids where there is a hole at the top of the board and it has a place where you just look in the little hole and see the fishes below!! -or TURTLES!! - which we saw! Krista, who is Jeff's little sister, and I were basically touching one!! It was so cool, I love turtles... well I love sea turtles. We got to go to the shops which was pretty cool and I got a couple shirts!! I love to shop!! We ate at the Cheeseburger In Paradise - really good food - and we had delicious fish tacos and the best fish and chips at the Maui Grill!! I ate a lot of fish there and it was all delicious. One night we went to an Irish Pub and had drinks.. haha jk but we did go and have dinner. Only one part had a little bar and the rest was a restaurant that had the best brisket ever and awesome Irish music!! That's right they had a live Irish band and I loved every minute of it!! It made me think of two movies I love so much - August Rush, and P.S I Love You. If you haven't seen them you should!! But anyways I just loved everything about it and now want to go to Ireland - without the kids !! There were a couple of mishaps while we were there - none too bad. Jeff messed up his ankle pretty bad. We didn't go to the Doctor but it was pretty bad and is still wearing a brace... he did it trying to skim board and I got it all on tape and shall post it soon!! Krista (Jeff's sister if you forgot) got stung by a jelly fish witch stung really bad for 2 days and gave her a headache and fever. I got my bottom lip burned and it got two bad blisters on it and it sucked really badly. I also got a blister on my tail bone - I don't know how but I did!! hahaha Which reminds me… the first day I sprayed sunscreen on Jeff and it was with the new spay kind. So I sprayed him down and I didn't know you should probably rub it in and he got a really bad splotchy (I mean really splotchy) burn and had to wear a t- shirt the first week!! Ok well I don't know if you are still reading along but to sum it up the kids had fun for about a week and then every day Kenzie would say “I don't want to go to the Beach I want to go to the pool!!” and she would say it all day. So although the kids did have fun, next time we go on a big trip the kids will not be coming!! But thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for a good time and for watching the kids and to Krista for being so cool and popular!! and to Ryan and Shanna for the first week you were there!! and Shanna for dating Ryan and getting him to let us pick him!! and Skrilla - it wouldn't have been the same !! and to Jared and Tara who weren't there... it really was fun but not as fun as it would of been if you were there with us!! Only because you are everyone’s favorites!! So hurry up and come home!! We miss you and love you and are so proud of you for what you are doing.. but you have done enough!! jk it will go by fast. OK this is the longest post ever and I don't even know if I got everything. Well I know I didn't but OK. To end I will say... Aloha!!

Yesterday was Makenzies third Birthday!! It is crazy how fast time goes and how fast my little girl has gone from a baby to a toddler!! On this Birthday I have realized that the older my kids get, the more i get to be a mom.... When they are babies you dont have to do anything special or really anthing at all on Birthdays or on any holiday because it is not like they really know what is going on but this year was special!! It was the year where i put up pink and purple streamers and it made makenzie jump up and down she was so excited or when Makezie helped me make her cake and she told me what she wanted her cake to look like!! There was also picking out a special dinner that only she got witch was a happy meal with chicken nuggets and fries and ranch... you cant forget the ranch!!! I loved when she would talk to people on the phone and say it is my Birthday today!! and when they would ask how old she was she would tell them i am free (three) today!! or how now when she opens presents they really mean somthing to her and she gets so excited!! I love it!! I love getting to make someone feel special and i love it that when i am trying hard to make everything just right for her she makes me feel special just by her reaction her excitement and happiness makes it all worth it! Makes it worth being a mom!! Happy Birthday Kenzie Girl!!

Gilbert House!!

In Salem we have this place called the Gilbert House museum and it is so cool! There are three old houses and each room is a different theme and there are so many fun things to do there!! There is a dinosaur room, bubble room, castle dress up room, train room, a pretend grocery store.... and lots more!! There is also a place out side for the kids to play.. We have gone there 2 times now and each time makenzie has loved it!! I would of loved it a lot more if I didn't have to bring wiggling wandering Jaxson!! So next time we are going to leave him with dad!!

Prayer Time!!

So Makenzie has been saying the prayer now for some time and loves doing it!! All of her prayers are exactly the same and they say Dear Heavenly Father, we thank thee for this day, we thank thee for we food, we thank thee for we bodies, and then she ends it the way it is suppost to end!! But today at lunch i asked her if she wanted to say the prayer and of course she did so she starts it out the same as usual and then she says we thank thee for we bodies, we thank thee for we food, we thank thee for us having a good day even though i had to SIT IN TIME OUT!! Haha it was really funny and I was just going to work with her on trying not to say the same thing every time and she did it all by her self!!

Jaxson's Bump!!

Last Friday night we had dinner over at our friends the Theuisons? That isnt how you spell there name and really i dont know i know how to spell it but oh well!! So any ways we were there eating dinner and at the end of the night Jaxson got a little love tap from his girlfriend and fell and hit his head on the door!! If you didnt notice!! It was probably the biggest bump i had ever seen on a little kid and he cried for a minute but he was fine, and the bump did go down and now it is just a small bruise!! I am happy to say that Jaxson and his lady are doing well and see eachother almost every day!!

trip to Montana!!

So for the last 3 weeks i have been in the lovely state of Montana!! Just Visiting and helping, well not really helping but thinking im helping get ready for my sister Katies wedding. It was so nice being home I had complete freedom to do whatever i wanted to do , I could go workout, go tanning(or as my mom would say going to get skin cancer) hang out with old friends from high school, or even go to the store and not have to bring or worry about my kids!! It was so nice to have little and big helpers whenever i needed.. I am very jealouse of people who have there parents close to have a little nana and pappa or grandma and grandpa time. I love my kids so much and could never imagine my life without them but it was really nice to have a little freedom.. Anyways we all had the best time while we were there I dont think I saw Kenzie more than once or twice a day she was just having to much fun playing with Uncle Keenai and Aunt Kailee!! Those three together are just little best friends and are so cute togher.. Jaxson had his fun too with his very helpful Aunts Disney and Kamasa. Now I am back in Oregon and although i am so happy to be back with my lovey, and back to Oregon!! Things are quiet and boreing and I miss my family very much!! So here are a bunch of random pictures of our time in good ol Helena!!

Jaxson had his first birhtday on Valentines Day!! It is so crazy how fast the time goes... I has already been a year since we moved to Oregon and so much has happend!! Especisally with Jax... He is such a happy go lucky baby who loves to smile and laugh and make cute baby words all day! He can blow kisses and say and wave bye bye... he can say night night and num num and rarrr like a tiger...He is a very fast crawler and takes a step every so often but is in no rush to really start... and we arent really pushing him either... His whole life he has been in the 85-90 percent for his length and hieght but just at his 12 month appt. he was in the 25% for both although he doesnt look small to me... and no it isnt because his head looks big... becasue just to let you know grandpa and paul.... it is only in the 50 percent!!! So he is doing just great.. He loves to cuddle and give loves!! He adores his daddy, and thinks he is the greatest thing that ever happend.. I am so lucky to have him in my life, he is the best little brother kenz could ever ask for and he makes our family so complete... well at least for right now!!

The other week, well maybe it was about threee weeks now, it snowed!! It was no Montana or Utah snow but there was a good 2-3 inches just the right amount to have a little fun and build maybe the best little snowman ever!! Jk... It is probably the worst but none the less Kenzie and I had a good time building him!! Kenzie loved the snow i wish we had more of it. Oh ya we also had a good time throwing snowballs at Dad's truck!! Good Times!!

ok sorry i havent posted in some time!! but that is only becasue i have one of the worst internet connections ever and i did a post a while ago and then the computer took so long that it didnt work. One day when i was going to go to the store and Kenzie wanted to come but i needed to go by myself so it would be faster.. you know what i mean... so I told her that if she was a good girl for daddy then i would bring her a treat!! Do you open presents from Santa first or last?

I know this is like a month late but I decided to put up a few Christmas pictures!! It was so fun this year because Makenzie is finally old enough to understand what is going on!! Every day she would say "Santa comes and brings me presents!" It was so cute i also told her how it is Jesus's birthday on Christmas.. She only messed up a few times and said it was her birthday on Christmas and Santa brings her presents!! We stayed in Oregon this year, I was really excited not to have to travel during the hustle and bustle of things but i didn't realize how challenging it would be mostly with traditions. Every other year we had either gone to Montana to visit my family or to California to see Jeff's, so it was easy we would just follow the traditions of that family but now that we were going to be all by ourselves who's tradition would we follow? In my family we always had Christmas Eve dinner and in our Christmas dinner we would have green bean casserole with french cut green beans Then we all went to look at lights and when we got home we got to open just one present of choice before we went to bed. In Jeff's family they made dinner on Christmas day and and used regular cut green beans and, didn't open any gifts on Christmas Eve. Those were just some of the small thing we were having problems with but the biggest on of all was opening presents from Santa in my family we always opened our presents from Santa first which makes sense to me because you go to bed so excited that Santa is going to come that when you wake up in the morning you want to open his first because that is what you have been waiting for. In Jeffs family they opened presents last from Santa because they were always the best ones so he sees it as best for last where I see it as best for first!! So how we did it this year was we had dinner on Christmas Eve, I won that one obviously since i was cooking and he actually liked it that way you have a nice dinner then and leftovers on Christmas day! I also bought french cut green beans once again because i was cooking. Although i might of picked the regular cut ones if i would of know how much she i mean he would cry about it. And all of us Except for Jeff opened a present on Christmas Eve. Then he said that since we did some or to him all of my traditions. We opened presents form Santa last. I still really didn't like that. So i started asking everyone i knew if they opened presents first or last form Santa. I probably asked 15-20 people and only 1 other person opened presents last.... So do you open your Presents from Santa first or last or how do you bargain with your spouse to start your own traditions. If you have any thoughts let me know!

Santa’s Secret Wish

Kenzie Loves her little brother very much! She does this all the time when she is sitting by him!! It is cute until Jaxson tries to get away and she doesn't move her arm.. Then her arm gets wrapped aroud him and she usually end up on top of him!!

So i have decided to put up some of our own pumpkin fun!! Kenzie and I glittered a pumpkin while every one else carved!!

I also made cupcakes to decorate and this is the one that Kenzie did... It is hard to smile while you are eating all the candy!!
So Jeff gets the best pumpkin award at our house!! Can you see the bat in the middle of the moon!! We are so proud..

This is Jeff before he left me to go on his 4 day rafting trip.... Without me..... I thought oh I will be fine.. I will find something to do.. I will have my mom to talk to... My sister meme lives here so I will be with her... Plus by letting him go i would be the best wife ever.... Well I was wrong about all of those things except for me being the best wife ever!! My mom and dad are in Boston for the weekend and really have no time to talk to lonely Ole me. Meme has a job, school, and friends,so i see her for maybe a couple of hours here and there but not enough to not be lonely..So after this i have decided that he wont be doing fun rafting trips without me. I just hate being alone. At least being alone all day at home, when it is rainy, with kids who i love very much, but still... It is OK during the day but at night it gets long and dark and rainy. SO i think you get my point...He gets home sometime on Sunday probably late.. So i am going to try and be happy if he had a lot of fun.. and try not to complain all because I AM THE BEST WIFE EVER!!!

Jaxson and Makenzie both love taking baths. It is so fun that they are both old enough to take a bath together! Every night before bed we put them in the bath to have a little bit of splish splash fun before they go to bed.

Last weekend Jeff's brother,(Uncle Jawet) as kenzie would call him aka (Jared)and his wife (Aunt Tawa), aka (Tara), came to Oregon to visit us before they go on there 2 year journey to Mozambique, Africaaa!! They are going to be helping the teachers learn to teach better education, and to help the students speak better English!! How awesome will that be for them, but at the same time awful for us because we will miss them so much. While they were here we went to the famous Cannon Beach,where the Goonies was filmed. It was awesome there every thing except the freezing cold sea breeze. Later on in the weekend we watched the Goonies!! For those of you who have never watched it or haven't seen it in a long time i recommend watching it again it is quite hilarious. We also took them up to Silver falls a hike with water falls throughout it. For the rest of the time we just hung out at home and watched the Office, Tara had never really watched an episode and we couldn't have her going to Africa without knowing the only the best show ever with the exception of Friends! Now she is basically the number one fan of the show i think we have done our job!! To wrap it up I just wanted to say that we had the best time with them and hope that we have convinced them enough that after there two long years they will be dieing without us and will have to move to Oregon! Love you guys , we will miss you! PS Tyson and Michelle still need to come here so we can convince them to move here too, so Tyson will stop applying for jobs in Cali!!

A couple of weeks ago Makenzie, Jaxson, and I took a trip to Colorado to see my grandparents and my family!! We went to a Giants baseball game, and took a day long trip to Kansas to see my sister Jessica's grave. This sweet baby was born on October 13 and died on November 23 from a disease called trisome 13. I was 4, my brother Josh was 3, and my sister Meme was 2. So my mom had three little kids and now a new little baby in constant stress and pain to take care of. The day that Jessica died she was given a special blessing that her small body would be released of the pain that she was feeling. After it was given, her body relaxed for the first time in her life, and she died in her sleep later that night from a heart failure. Although she died at only 6 weeks and I don't really remember her except for a video of her we watch on special occasions, she is still a very big part of my life. On her birthday we do something nice for someone else for her gift, and for dinner we always have angel hair pasta and angel food cake for dessert. During Christmas, the tree is filled with special ornamets that different people have gotten her through the years. I also try do something extra nice for someone as a gift to her... She is also remembered every night or any time I say my prayers. I am so grateful to have a perfect sister, our guardian angel, as a daily example in my life.. a person who gives me a chance to think of others and forget myself... a person that I can't see, but I know she lives, and I know I will see her again one day and I can hardly wait!!

Yay for me, it is the second week in a row that i am writing on my blog!!! I am slowly but surely becoming a blogger!! We have just recently moved to West Salem into a new house in a very nice neighborhood, where there is a pool!! It is really nice to have a pool so close on hot days to go and take a dip when ever you please!! Last weekend Jeff came with the kids and I for the first time and we had a blast!! So i am putting up some pictures of the pool time fun that we have been having!!
